Reports say anything from a 30% chance to a 50% chance of rain/isolated storms off and on basically all day.
We are only planning on going for 2 nights, and the place is less than 2 hours away.
Should we call it off, wait it out and decide later in the day tomorrow, or just go for it?
I’m going to Florida from 4 states away and I don’t want to forget anything please help! I’m tent camping btw. Thank you!
While camping in an Indiana state park for 6 days should I pack up my tent every morning before I go out walking, hiking, swimming or driving and set it back up every evening or is just loading valuables from tent to car enough?
This summer me and two friends are going camping for a week in the desert. There may be 60mph wind and bad rain and storms. I’m not an expert on tents but i have researched a lot and these sounded the best.. Please give me your opinion on which would be best!

I am looking for a fun place to go camping with my husband this weekend no more than 3 hours outside of NYC. We would be bringing a tent to camp in. I would like somewhere that has great swimming, like a lake or river! Somewhere fun! We have a dog, that we will bring if she is allowed, but if not that’s ok too. Thanks for your help!
It’s called be the best you camp
It’s in collage dorms
and I understand basic hygiene: Shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, face wash
and I understand clothes, you know, pants shirts
What I AM asking is what items do girls usually forget that might be REALLY important?
Im planning a 2 week camping trip this summer. I have done this before in my hometown (northeast kingdom vt) but now i live the seacoast region of NH. Im thinking white mountains or southern maine… I am going to be going solo, so it would be nice to be in an area with cellphone reception just in case. i might have someone come after about a week to resupply me with food and water, so it has to be in reach of a road.
I am willing to hike with my gear, i want to be far enough away from people so that i won’t see anyone while i am out (that includes hearing highway traffic. I also will not be bringing any firearms, so i won’t be able to shoot any animals (for food or protection). I welcome any suggestions for regions or specific areas.
Next month I’m going hiking/camping with a friend I’ve known almost 8 months – Should we tent share?
We’re both single (her more recently within the last couple months) and we’re going to be talking next week about what gear we want to take with us to make sure we have everything we need and not take more than we have to. I was debating if I should suggest we tent share – with other friends I’ve gone camping with the subject has always been broached by them. I feel it could just sound wrong coming from a guy asking a girl if we should tent share and give a bad/misrepresented impression of what is on my mind.
We’re totally platonic before anyone suggests otherwise and even if hell froze over, she’d still be out of my league so from day one I’ve never imagined any other possible level of friendship.
Me and my GF are wanting to go camping in CA early this November. Looking for somewhere with beautiful forest scenery and wildlife. Nothing too cold, as we dont want to have to buy expensive winter gear (we live in Austin, TX, so it wouldnt get much use.)
We want to fly in, get a hotel, visit a city with booming nightlife, then head out to camp the next couple of days. So somewhere reasonably close to a metropolitan area is ideal.
The best Ive found so far is Big Sur. Any other suggestions?
