I’m shopping for a new light rain jacket for spring, and I like the Ominous color. But it says that it’s a “three layer hard shell” and I’m not sure if that makes it like a ski jacket or too heavy.

(Regardless of price, looking for a 6 to 7 person tent, and definitely want a rain proof tent)

I have an older horse and I don’t want him to get wet and cold when we ride in the rain (we only have an outdoor arena, and live in a rainy climate). Does anyone know of a kind of blanket or something that would cover his hindquarters, shoulders, and maybe part of his neck? If it covered the saddle (english) that would be great too, but it’s not necessary. Everything I’ve tried just flaps around or falls off when we go faster than a slow trot
