I want to go camping for a night. Nothing fancy, just for a night and I don’t want to drive far. (Tent camping)
I’m looking for a great place that I can go tent camping, and won’t be more than a few hours drive from Memphis? I’m researching places in the Ozarks, but most are too far or have too little information. I’m looking to camp, hike, possibly fish. Not too expensive. A grill or washroom would be nice, but not necessary . We’ll be going mid-October. Have you been anywhere that you would recommend?
We are both unemployed and would love to still get out of town for a week-end. I’m not very interested in going into the heat during the summer or sharing my tent/sleeping bag with any critters but if we could find something free, maybe I would find a way to deal!!!
We are looking to move across country from new york to california and humboldt county looks nice. We’re thinking of Arcata, Eureka or McKinleyville. Which area do you like best? Any other towns in humboldt that we should also look into?

We have already been to Eureka Springs, Hot Springs, and we are really just looking for a nice little town that has things to do and is romantic with nice accomodations within 10 hours of missouri, since we will be driving. I need some help and some ideas!
I plan on flying out to eureka, and going forth from there. I am planning on camping and need a mode of transport to one of the parks. I am on a budget so spending $200 on a car rental for the week is too much. Any suggestions on places to visit, camp, rent a scooter?
My family and I are planning a trip to go (tent/primitive) camping in southern Utah, but we would like a backup plan in case the weather stays/gets more rainy, cold and snowy. We will be leaving on May 21 and will be camping for 4 days… Anyone know of any really good places to camp where the weather will be nice and we can see some nature?
I would prefer the eastern side of the state.
