ok this is freaky. i had walked past my pine tree and the cones appeared to b moving. there was no wind. i took a couple of them and i cut one open. and a black worm came out of it. i took some more and put them in a bucket and took them into the woods. they started to hatch and connect to each other. if anyone know anything of this situation please let me know asap

And since certain acne/blemish products are usually more effective depending on race would pine tar soap be effective for me. I’m Black. Also, (if you know) would you list the pros and cons of using Pine Tar Soap? I want to know everything I can about this product. I’ve been looking online but come up with nothing. Thank you for your time.

I have a pine tree approx 3 stories high, 6 feet from my deck edge and 12 feet from my house. We stay in a condo complex and apparantly they got a specialist in to say the roots will not damage the foundations or basement. The roots not only spread up to the foundations but also dropping black stuff and staining my deck and making my deck sticky. What I need to know, is can these roots cause damage because i do not believe the condo association saying a specialist was out, and why is my deck going black. Thanks

I think that one of the most unique aspects of these were their chewiness and succulent flavors, if you could let them disolve in your mouth and not swallow them. I remember these came in a really delicious sweet honey flavor that I can not find repeated anywhere else. The same was true of their cherry flavor. I can not remember what the green color ones tasted like. I believe they also came in a black color but I’m not certain if they were really licorice flavor. Do any other people remember these? There were about 12 or 15 drops to a box. I didn’t ever see them sold in bagfuls like many are sold today. They were in those small boxes and when I seem to remember when they sold here in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area, you’d find them at plain ol’ pharmacies and were found near the Smith Brothers or Luden’s brand’s. I still like the “Brother’s” licorice and cherry ones and a honey-licorice from Ludens along with their cherry. I would guess perhaps 12 yrs ago? Remember??

I have been reading about using pine shavings for a deep litter method. This is all new to me. I am a proud new owner of 4 black star pullets. What is the difference if any between shavings and mulch. Mulch is damp and I was thinking this might be a problem. thanks.
Thank you, you both have been very helpful. I will go get dry bedding today…I don;t really have any dry pine needles, everything is so wet around here :)

I’m doing a bird-watching homework for a teacher, and I live in southern Indiana.

I saw a bird with black stripes. Or at least it looked like it.

It looked to me like a pine siskin,

Is it possible that there is a pine siskin in southern Indiana
in late May?
