The neighbor at our cabin likes to use our property when we are not there (our firepit, dock, lawn, etc.) To prevent this, we planted a row of pine trees. Two years ago, a couple of our trees mysteriously disappeared. He said they were hit by snowmobilers. Yeah right, and the snowmobilers made a clean cut to the stump and took the trees with them.
We planted five more pine trees. All five are gone. This time he said beavers cut them down and a young guy the neighbor hired to mow his lawn hauled them away. The DNR fine for removing trees is 3 times the cost of replacing the trees. The police do not believe the neighbor and told him so. However, they don’t think they’ll be able to prosecute based on his beaver story. My husband doesn’t believe that beavers even eat pine trees because of the sap. I have google this and have found nothing saying that beavers like pine trees, but also nothing saying they don’t. These were 12 foot black spruce trees. We don’t want to replant just to have him take them down again with this excuse.
Anyone know for sure? Thanks
I guess I should have phrased my question as “Do beavers dislike pine trees.” We are certain that the neighbor removed the trees. I have heard that beavers won’t touch pine tree if other trees are available. We have many, many other trees. So I am looking for a source to confirm that indeed beavers do NOT like pine trees. Sorry about the confusion and thanks for the replies.
I really want to go to Pine Manor College in Ma,i love the old/woodsy/picturesque campus, and the fact that they have alot of courses in english/writing. But i heard that almost everyone who goes there is black and/or a lesbian, the lesbian thing doesnt really bother me but im asian and though ive tried, i have NEVER been able to relate to an african american person, im not racist but i also dont want to go somewhere where i dont fit in and feel painfully uncomfortbale. Has anyone here been to Pine Manor College? What was your experience? Will i have enough friends to be able to relate to and become close with? I want to go there so badly, but im really worried. Please dont hate on me for the black comments, im sure that if a black person wanted
to go somehere where it was all asians or all whites they would be asking the same type of question. THANKS!

I can never find a male pine cone. There’s this thin paper like stuff on its scale ( I don’t know what it is called). Will it be able to still make a seed if they are black and dry? I saw this video http://youtube.com/watch?v=o6Se_9y68P0 that showed that the thin paper thing on top of the scale was white. I have the same pinecones as the video
Is it able to germinate when the paper like things on th scales are black

You know, pineal gland, lotus flower, its all over embroidery. Im trying to find a black and white or artwork of a pine cone knee deep inside a lotus flower. Ive searched for sooooo long to find just one pic, just one but still nothing! Can you guys help me out or help me advance my search like “pineal inside flower” or a better search engine kind of stuff because this is ridiculousness. My question is WHERE CAN I FIND ONE, or how can i better find one (or do you have one) of this picture im seeking.
I’m black and she’s white. I know you guys take care of your hair a little differently. She washes her hair first with Original Scent Pine Sol. She doesn’t work it in your scalp, only the hair. It cleans pretty good. The hot water and soapy suds from the Pine Sol literally takes out all the dirt. She rinses, then she shampoos twice with regular shampoo. Her hair is pretty long and hasn’t fallen out yet. Have you heard of this?
1st- is a brown dress(short with a latin style and its a halter)
2nd is a pink dress with black over top(long and strapeless)
3rd is a peachy color (long with strapes)

I have 3 trees in front of my house which are all the same, they are like pine trees, but not the same shape as a Christmas tree. One of the trees is dead and is almost completely empty of its pine needles. On it, we have what looks to be tiny black worms that have turned the pine needles into what looks like snail shells. You can see them hanging off the tree like they are dangling from a web, and they look like they made a cocoon. However, we have a lot of them making their way up the front of my house. They move very strangely, and they are really gross. My mom has had nightmares about them climbing through the vent in the attic, and taking over our house. Oddly enough, I think I might have found the same kind of black worm/snail/caterpillar/centipede as the ones outside my house, in my bed. I stripped my bed of the sheets and everything because I just got back from vacation and my grandfather might be staying in my room during his visit. It was under all of my sheets and on my mattress. I am extremely grossed out! I didn’t think to take a picture, but I can try to explain what I saw. I think it’s flat because it didn’t die when I squished it in toilet paper, and it looked like it had small segments that made up its body. I’m pretty sure it had legs and it even looked like it had some weird hair coming out of one end. I tried picking it up by the hair with tweezers, but the hair just fell out. I don’t know what these things are, or if the one I found in my bed is the same as the ones outside, but if anyone can help me, please try! My dad is going to rip the tree out tomorrow, but I have no doubt in my mind that there will still be some stragglers left behind. Please try to help me get rid of these disgusting things!!!
How do you know for sure what it is? And how come I can’t find any details when I google it?
