There is about 15 of us and we want a nice place, it must be by the waterfront, where we can just put up our tents, enjoy the water and nature in general. We would alos like a place with no curfew or alcohol restrictions. We are not heavy drinkers but we are celebrating 2 birthdays… Can anyone help me pleaseeeee
fun times
I’m planning a camping trip on mount Helvellyn, in the lakes, this august. Other than by car, what would be the easiest way (and preferably inexpensive) for four people and camping gear to reach Helvellyn? thanks (:
I was wondering about this location. We are first time campers and want to stay local. Is it a nice place to camp? How about Lake Cahuilla? All info is welcomed. I know Cahuilla has a pool.
Thanks,
happy camper
We wanted to stay near Sac so that my husband doesn’t have to use all his vacation time. He can go to work from the campsite. I know Folsom Lake is busy, but it seems to be the only place close enough to Sac for my husband. We are Tent Camping with 2 little ones 4 and 2. Anyone have any suggestions, concerns, comments? All is welcome, good and bad.
Which tent sites are the best? I read that some of them are up an embankment with stairs? WTF?
Hi there!
Me and my Boyfriend are going camping to lake Placid Saturday, and Honestly i’m not too sure what to pack!
We’ll be there for 2 days…. and because we’re crossing the border ( with all the food restriction) we’ll get those when we get there!
We have a tent – blow up matress ( all sleeping gear)
we’ll get from a friend a portable BBQ, bring a cooler,
probably a portable radio, camera, swimming gear..
Am i forget anything??
Thanks
I’m going camping at Lake Jennings on April 7th.
This is my first time camping so I’m not sure what to bring and what to put the stuff I bring in. ( I was thinking of bringing a small suitcase )
We are staying at 1:OOpm on April 7th until 1:OOpm on April 8th.
This is my friend’s party so I don’t need to bring food.
I’m 1O years old.
I don’t know if there is a shower or not so please tell me if I should bring to a towel and toilet paper.
Should I also bring clothes because I don’t know where to change.
I think there will be bathrooms because I heard my friends say to bring toothbrush but will I have to bring toothpaste?
Things I know what to bring:
Sleeping Bag
Toothbrush
Pillow
Also should I put my stuff in a small suitcase because I don’t want my friends to laugh at me?
Thank you!
Besides the obvious tents, camp chairs, fishing poles, etc. I’m having a hard time deciding on what to pack for our camping trip from July 1st — July 13th.
I’m not sure how much clothes to pack (how many pairs of each), what medicines to pack, and how soon in advance I should start collecting these items for the trip. (I really don’t want to forget anything and I want to have a really nice time).
Not that this matters, but when we went up last year, we didn’t have enough clothes, my husband got a ticket for tailgaiting, we got pulled over in our CANOE for not having life vests, I got my period, the tire flew off of the side of the truck on Rt 30 and we spent two days in the pouring rain fixing the truck on our honeymoon.
I hope I’m not asking for it going on a second trip to the same place. I guess I’m trying to redeem myself from our horrendous honeymoon. My mom says I’m worrying too much…
How was your experience? How much privacy was there between campsites? How was the staff?
Lake Chelan still very good for lake trout
What continues red hot is trolling for big Lake Trout on the Lake Chelan “Bar” early in the morning. We are still trolling for those Mackinaw in depths of 120 to 150 feet on the Bar just out from the Mill Bay boat launch.
