I don’t want to buy a tent for a single weekend –
Does anyone know of any sites that let you rent the actual tent?
Hello there, we live near Daytona Beach, FL. We are looking at a place to take are boat where we can camp on an island, state park on the water, or marina where we can shower. I was wondering if anyones know if its legal to cam on some of thoes islands near Ponce Inlet? Whats the law? I heard of a Start park a little south of hear, but not sure which one had islands and if our 26′ boat can make it there. Let me know. Our goal would be to take th boat out here and bring camping gear for an island or park.
I was wishing on taking a long trip towards the ga islands or South Carolina also. Any advice or sites?
Thanks a Bunch!

Wilderness Adventure Documentary… this is part one of two that has been shot and edited featuring the beauty of Hawaii’s Na Pali Coast on the Island of Kauai. We started the hike close to dark enroute to Hanakapiai Beach. We decided to travel without any camping gear- no tent, no sleeping bags, no ground pad, very little food and no water except for what we found along the way. I wanted to see the famed Kalalau Valley and Beach before leaving Hawaii, and I also wanted to hone my skills of basic survival. So, we went for it. We brought just a few essentials like my guitar and a headlamp along with fire-starter. Filmed and edited by David Lakota for the KauaiCenter.org and the AlaskaFilmSchool.com
Just interested in enjoying the beach, maybe a little camping, BBQ’ing, & a good time with friends without the normal beach crowd hassle. Seems as though all permits require fishing equipment but I was just curious if there were any off road areas that do not require this. Thanks!
Somewhere between Providence and Newport and Mystic. We would like a private site…maybe trees, or just room in between sites. We are not into big crowds….just a peaceful spot to relax. Any ideas?
Visit my Channel: youtube.com Pack your tent and sleeping bag and tune up your bike! It’s time for a camping bicycle trek across Tsushima Island, the Japanese Island closest to South Korea. A group of friends and I rode across it in three days, and along the way we had many adventures. We ate great food including sushi, we visited a school and talked with the kids. They let me try to ride the unicycle, which was a disaster! We tried sumo wrestling and had fun boating and swimming. And most important, we took lots of photographs and did lots of sightseeing. This small island is a popular destination for Koreans who wish to do a bike trek. The ferry drops you off at one end, and picks you up 3 or 4 days later at the other end. Along the way you stay at campsites in the mountains or on the beach. The terrain is hilly to mountainous, and if you aren’t grinding up one of the looooong hills to the crest, then you’re smiling broadly as you fly down the other side at supersonic speeds! It was a really fun vacation and I want to do it again soon! Enjoy the movie!
Emerson unhappy with Island County committee choices
The Island County commissioners’ normally mundane task of appointing people to voluntary boards became a little more action-packed Monday morning. Commissioner Kelly Emerson, the sole Republican on the three-member board, was clamorously unhappy that she didn’t get to name anyone to the Water Resources Advisory Committee.
