I am babysitting and the kids need help with there homework but I can’t speak one work of it!
Can you translate this for me but don’t use translator because they said it messes something up with the sentences? Anywayyyy…
Three friends went on three different vactions first they went camping in the forest they brought sleeping bags, first aidkit, a lantirn, and a tent to sleep in. They went on a hike in the woods in the afternoon and went for a swim in the water. The day was nice and sunny with no clouds. When it was dark the cooked dinner and then went to bed in their sleeping bags and tents
Thank you so much for the help with the kids
I do both tent camping and pop-up trailer camping. Any information would be appreciated! Thanks.
I have owned my first ball python for only a month now, but towards the end of July, I’m looking to add another reptile to my budding hobby. I have a relatively large encyclopedia on nearly all reptiles kept as pets, and I’m interested in the following: Emerald Tree Boa, Green Tree Python, Leucistic Texas Rat Snake, Black Pine Snake, Bearded Dragon, Green (Chinese/Asian) Water Dragon, Knight Anole, Flap-necked/Graceful Chameleon, or a Red-eyed Tree Frog. I intend to train myself with reptiles so I will be experienced enough to raise and care for a Green Iguana or its Rhinoceros cousin. I am a resident of Northern Virginia and think I am capable of housing all the above creatures (not at once, of course.) I prefer carnivorous creatures, but am not really that picky, I suppose. For those answering with experience, please tell me the ups and downs of the species. I fancy leucistic reptiles, but, again, Not that picky.
Um… looked up price on Leucistic Ball Python… 15,000 USD, yikes. If you know of any relatively inexpensive leucistic, that would be cool, but the prospect and affordability looks quite unlikely for my 8$/hr.
Alright, I think I know what I want, but I don’t know exactly what type of creature I want. I want a brightly colored, arboreal reptile that is easily tamed and handled. I want the sociable nature of the bearded dragon with brilliant greens, whites or similar color(s) that likes to climb in a rainforest/tropic/semitropic enclosure. If you know a species that fits this description, please let me know. My experience with my ball python has been great.
my uncle and i are going into the woods camping for 3 months. we will be taking everything in on mountain bikes, and beyond a tent, sleeping bag, and bows and arrows for hunting (private land in northern wisconsin) what else should we take in? i want very specific lists.
My kids have outgrown the uses for a bunk bed. Now they want to take out the bottom bunk and just sort of have a bed on stilts so desks and things can fit underneath. Is there any way to to that without compromising the stability? the bed is rated to 300 lbs, but my kids are on the hefty side. Would just leaving one of the bottom bars that holds the mattress up suffice? This is the one:

It’s made to be able to take the two pieces apart, if that would matter for anything.

Entry from: Everest Region, Nepal Entry Title: “Into Thin Air – trekking in the Himalayas” Entry: “What a relief to be back in Kathmandu after an adventurous 17 days in the Solo-Khumbu region of the Nepal Himalayas. One doesn’t realize just how we take for granted basic life amenities such as… oxygen! 18 years ago, Kumar was our guide – he was then a young 22 year old with a new wife and little baby. We had lost touch with him but Andy found him on the internet (Google can be a wonderful tool!) and he now owns his own company. As he doesn’t guide himself anymore, our team consisted of Indra, our guide, Ganesh, our assistant guide, and Kulam and Tika, our happy porters. There has been some change in the Khumbu since our last trek. Most noticeably the tea houses are larger, the food they serve is more western, the sleeping facilities have improved, there is solar powered electricity, and even access to a hot shower in many places. 18 years ago, we opted to camp but eat in the teahouses. Back then the tea houses were very rudimentary – you were usually staying in a family home, eating in the kitchen, watching the woman cook your dal bhat over a yak dung fueled stove with no chimney, and if you stayed in the tea house rather than camp, there was a communal sleeping area where you snuggled up …
There is small hill from our yard to our neighbor’s yard in the line of pine trees that divide our properties. On his side there is black gunk accumulating, not sure if it sludge or what it’s from. It is fairly close to our septic fields. Does this sound like there is probably something is wrong with our septic fields?
Our houses are on “wet lands” so it is often damp in parts of the field areas but it has been raining a lot and their is a brook and wetlands as part of this property right behind it.
The house was built in 1971 and they installed a complete new system (tank AND fields) in 1995, so the entire system is only 14 years old. Most of the houses in the area still have their original tank and fields. We pumped the septic in the Spring and we do it approximately every 3-4 years. We are not having any problems of backing up in the house or anything like that.
Does anyone know what else it could be, or if it is most probably the fields what could be wrong and how much remediation would be?
I went over there and can’t smell anything. The neighbor claims that it smells when it’s very hot. It doesn’t smell anywhere on our property.
Also, if it is due to our fields can the town come in and rope off our yard? Will the health dept fine us if they find something wrong or “make” us do something immediately even if we don’t have the money to fix it right now?
What would be the best course of action of find out what it is?
I have a Eureka Maxima bagless vac that I love. The suction on it is great, but lately only half of the dirt (hair, dust, etc.) falls into the cannister. The rest just hangs around the filter. I’ve tried replacing the filter but that doesn’t help.
