Haven’t gone camping in ages, but I plan on doing a lot of it on a motorcycle trip I’ve got coming up. I know that campsites often have food lockers for bears, etc. but what about your gear? My bike doesn’t have any locking compartments, so if I wanted to go out for some hiking or fishing, I’d hate to have to lug around all my stuff everywhere I go. It’d be nice if I could leave it behind with my tent and bike.
I think I’ve been in NYC too long… I start to forget that there are plenty of places where you can actually trust people.
I apply that NY perspective
But even still, maybe I’ll leave my laptop at home. It’s a relative cheapie – paid only $500 for it – but wouldn’t want to lose it nonetheless.
Can somebody please tell me the name of the song and artist to the track that plays in the Top Gear US Special at these following times..(it is the same song for each time)…
31.28 – 31.53 (Cow on Jeremy’s roof)
32.38 – 32.43 (Camping)
49.18 – 49.41 (James offering Jeremy and Richard a lift to the airport)
I have also heard it played in an episode of LA Ink (the episode where Kat’s shop is finally finished and she gives the guy a pin up tattoo on his arm to thank him).

Taking our gear for a practice hike in Ricketts Glen State Park in preparation for our upcoming extended hike in New Hampshire’s White Mountains . We did a test run with full load out around the Falls Trail on day one and a more leisurely exploration around Adams Falls on day two. We definitely confused some people by hiking this area with our extended trip packs, but it’s better to find out how you can improve your system here than it is when you’re out in the woods on an extended stay (for two of us, this is will be our first backpacking experience). We did “cheat” and eat campfire hotdogs for dinner though, couldn’t resist! Oh, yeah and there was a lovely Severe Heat Warning this weekend, so this ended up being good worst case scenario practice as far as heat and hydration goes too. All we need now is to get severely rained on…
