Everybody knows camping, but when thinking about it you recognize that the word camping is something that has a really broad definition span. For some people it’s just making holidays with a motor home, carrying as much luxury, like a TV or a PC, as possible. They stay in almost every case on a modern camping ground or motor camp, as wild camping is forbidden in many countries. These campgrounds offer almost everything you need. From the obvious things like toilets and showers to pubs, supermarkets, w-LAN, playgrounds, swimming pools and restaurant. There are some people who still call this “simple living”.

Then there is the “standard” camping. If you describe this version of camping with “simple living” it’s way more applying than in the first described case. Here people select simpler camping grounds, take a tent and some general things like a sleeping bag, camping cookware and other simple tools you could need. This way of camping is often combined with “sportive” activities like swimming, trekking, fishing and most important: barbecue. As camping is living near the nature in most cases, many campers like this experience. So there is also the possibility of semi-wild camping. This are places in forests and national parks, where you’re allowed to camp but got no civilization.

As the last version of camping, there is the extreme camping, what includes whole survival adventures. People doing this carry only the most needed things with them, often only what they wear on their bodies and a tent etc. Many times these trips also take place in extreme areas, like the rain forest or really cold places like Alaska.

The majority of people prefers the “standard” and the luxury version of camping. If you’re doing a camping trip in our beautiful nature, there are some decisions to be made on what to take with you. A frequently asked question is what backpack you should choose. This depends on what you plan to do. If you’ll do only day trips or stay the most time on the camping ground, you should take a look on general canvas rucksacks. These are very robust and really cheap. So it wouldn’t be a real problem if the backpack was damaged. If you’re doing a greater trekking tour, you should decide for a better and bigger backpack, because you have to wear it long times. Especially the comfort is important in this case, hurting shoulders or a hurting back can transform the camping or trekking tour to a terrible experience. Additionally don’t forget some simple but very important tools like a clasp-knife, a lighter and a hammer.

If you plan your trip correctly, you’ll have some cool or even exciting days, just as you like it.

Camping tents are your home away from home. They provide you with security, protection, and comfort, all of which you need to have a wonderful camping experience. But this won’t be possible if you are not able to set up your tent the right way. To help you with this matter, here are some brilliant pitching tips that come from the expert campers. 1.     Practice at home. As they say, practice makes perfect. It is not smart to wait until you are at the actual trip before you start rehearsing on how to put up this equipment. Practice several times at home, weeks before the vacation so you can get it perfect beforehand. 2.     Pick a good location. Location, location, location, it always begins with the location—we hear this adage all the time when people talk about putting up a business. But this factor is also very important when it comes to setting up tents. In fact, the right site can make a difference between a successful trip and a failed one. When choosing a camp spot, look for a high ground that is flat and even. Avoid valleys, slopes, and areas near stagnant sources of water. 3.     Clear the area. Since it would be quite difficult to look for a flawless camp area, the best thing you can do is to choose a flat one and then just clear the area of rocks, twigs, and whatever element there is present to poke your back. It would also be a good idea to protect the bottom part of the tent by placing a tarp or cloth on the ground. 4.     Set up in daylight. This one is an obvious tip but some campers, especially beginners, make the mistake of scheduling the trip in the afternoon and by the time they arrive at the site, it is already dark. It is difficult to fumble the tent parts and reading the manual of instruction is also difficult. 5.     Position tent the right way. Aside from choosing the right spot, you should also see to it that you are able to position the camping equipment the right way. This means that you should sleep with your head higher than your feet to assure comfort and good night’s sleep. 6.     Hang a tarp on the side of the tentThis can work as a wind block, a rain shelter, cooking space, place to leave the gear and so on. 7.     Consider the layoutIn addition to the set up of the tent, you should also plan the layout of the entire camp area including the activity place, the cooking space, and so on. Tent camping is always a majestic experience. But of course, there are several things that can help contribute to a successful trip and one of these is the proper set up of the tent. Whether you are bringing Coleman tents or any other brand of this camping equipment, be sure to keep in mind all of these tips to make set up fun, simple, and easy.
