So, what to do I pack for food if I am going on tent camping? no electricity. Have firepit but no firepit if it rains. Cannot chill food since ice does not remain frozen for 10 days. Please help. Is my option canned food? If so, what canned food should I buy to satisfy the food pyramid. I cannot even bring bread because sometime in the 10 days, it will be all green and unedible, right?. Trying to satisfy the food pyramid as well. Please help! Thanks

I plan a taking a spring camping trip in colorado. I will be using my dads 4 wd extended cab S10 with a cap on it. I planned on doing dispersed camping and sleeping in the back of the truck in lieu of using a tent. My gear and food will be in the back with me while sleeping. The cap locks and the windows are tinted so bears would not be able to see in. My question is should I be concerned about a bear attempting to break in the back of the truck while I am sleeping to get at my food ? I will be camping at about 7000-8000 ft. Any info. would be appreciated. Thanks.
hi me and my boyfriend are going camping for the first time,
and as we dont have a clue whether we’re going to like it we’re only going for 2 nights…and are just taking a bbq (as we are students and cant afford all the gear if we’re not going to like camping at the end!)
has anyone got any got recipes for bbq cooking apart from the obvious sausages/burgers?

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on an extended camping trip. It’s going to be 4-5 days, and I was wondering what type of equipment you guys can recommend and what foods?
Of course we’re going to have the necessities. A tent, sleeping bag, hygiene products, sunscreen, a small propane tank, a cooler. Is there anything else that I should bring?
And most importantly: what type of foods have you guys brought that worked out well?

Upgraded my cat food stove to version 2. I had some issues with it on a recent trip so I found some better instructions to make the jets bigger for a faster burn time.Thanks to AOG for the advice

I see that some of them seem to have ladders to the roof, so I was thinking, why not take a sleeping bag and just have a little camp out with my laptop on top of 7-11 or KFC?
What do you think of this plan? Would I be found out? Would I go to jail if I was caught?
