The last time that I was packing for a camping trip, I was shocked to see how much equipment I was trying to fit into the back of my car. This may well be an experience that you have had yourself. It’s particularly difficult to avoid if you are about to embark on a family camping holiday. The reality is that we often need numerous pieces of camping equipment. Apart from the obligatory tent, we’re likely to have a range of items. We will want to think about our ability to prepare meals, to sleep comfortably and to wash regularly. That means that the car boot can soon become cluttered with camping stoves, sleeping bags, camping toilets and all sorts of other accessories. How many of these are really necessary?
