i’m trying to get ready for winter… anyone have any tips on waterproofing a horse blanket? i have a nice heavy ‘waterproof’ blanket that i bought last year, but i want to make sure it stays that way. i’ve heard that the waterproofing qualities wear off with time. i also have a nice thick bmb stable blanket that is not waterproof.
are there any spray products that i can use to waterproof these blankets? i found some spray for camping gear- says it works on all fabrics, even fleece. is it possible to waterproof my stable blanket? also, what kind of soap is best to use on my waterproof blanket?
i’d appreciate any ideas you guys have.

I will be sleeping on an air mattress with a sleeping bag.
The sleeping bag is just a regular one that is wool on the inside. It is probably rated to 50F. Will I even notice the 60F lows when the high is at 90F.
