Karl and Ben chill out and cook up a feast on Passport to Insanity

I have numerous anxiety disorders- and next week we are taking a tent camping trip with our 3 daughters. While I camped when I was younger- being a mom and a super high anxiety level has been giving me sleepless nights already.

We are going to a park camping- where I often camped growing up. I don’t ever remember having problems with bears there- just at other locations in northern michigan when we camped. Anyways- when I called the park office to inquire about the bears- I felt so silly and irrational- that I was almost hysterically laughing when I asked if they had bears- so after that question, i thanked the young man and hung up. I am now wishing I had asked more questions. He did say “We are next to the woods, so there can be bears”

I’ve been up there recently visiting some family camping- and almost everyone (that i remember) has campers and pop-ups. I don’t remember anyone or very people were in tents. We cannot afford a camper, nor can we afford to rent one right now- and we do have a very nice 10 person tent we have used before. But sleeping in a tent with the possibility of bears is freaking me the f out – to be honest.

(1) Should I call the park and inquire more about the bears? (How often do they come to the campground- etc…)

(2) Would I be better off paying 10 dollars more a night to camp at a location more south of where I am where they don’t have bears? (peace of mind)

(3) If we do camp there- where would be the best place to camp to put the less likelyhood of a bear visiting our campsite? The campside is surrounded by a winding large river on two sides and the other two sides are a national forrest. Would we be better off camping as close to the river as possible- farther away from the woods as we could? Should we camp near other tent campers? My fear is that people in trailers aren’t worried about the bears- and that they will leave food or something out to attract the bears and then they will come to our little measly tent next door.
(4) Please don’t laugh- I know this fear seems irrational- because all fears are- but to me it’s a very real fear.
ok this is where i get paranoid- i realize bears are attracted the food/scents. Because the campground isn’t in bear country (northern michigan or the UP) and it’s classified as “occassional bear sightings” on the DNR map- they don’t have bear proof food storage lockers. People just leave their coolers etc sitting outside their campers. So this is why I am a little freaked out and considering finding somewhere more southern where its even less of a threat.

The Black Friday massacre begins….

For some reason during completely random parts of the day I get a little dizzy and then my eyesight goes blank for 10 seconds and slowly comes back. It doesn’t matter where I am, what temperture it is, or the amount of stress I’m under. And I breathe normally, so I don’t think it has anything to do with my air intake.

Most of the time I’ll just be walking and suddenly I feel unsteady and my vision starts to go. Most of the time I’ll just keep walking forward knowing that it will wear off, but a few times it will happen and I’ll lose my vision, regain it, and suddenly be at the other side of the room knocking over something in the process without knowing how, when, or why I got there (for all you harry potter fans, I think I I may be possesed… haha)

If I need to include any more details, just ask. But I want to know what’s wrong because, to be frank, it sucks pine sap and it happens nearly every day.
Thanks ya’ll!

Okay, so I’ll try the iron thing, but I’m pretty sure I’m good on that since I eat a lot of red lean meats and green veggies.

And I’m 5′9, but it doesn’t just happen when i’m standing up. Haha, omg, it just happened again while I was lying down. The universe proves my point :)

I want to be on a Pre-Med Track. I don’t have a specific major yet but I’m leaning towards a Biology major but I don’t have a Minor yet either. I hope to become an Emergency Room Physician. I was wondering what are the top 10 HBCU’s I should look into going to. Preferably down south. I have heard of Xavier University of Louisiana, Florida A&M, and University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. My Question is What are the top 10 HBCU’s down south with Pre-Med?

Does anybody have decent ideas to produce 3 courses with the following ingredients: Whole Trout (must be used an entree ) , Quinoa, Fennel, Double Smoked Bacon, Jalapeño. Appy, Main, Desert must be produced all within a 3 hour time constraint. Trout is raw and whole and must be processed. Any ingredient found in our culinary institute may be used, along with strawberries, oyster mushroom, cranberries, sun dried tomatoes, Pine nuts, papaya, butternut squash, fresh pears, orzo, fontina cheese, chorizo, calamata olives.

Any ideas?
Edit to add.. maybe I wasn’t as clear as i needed to be.. the bacon, fennel, trout, quinoa, jalapeño need to be spread out over the 3 courses.. but at least one of them has to be in each course.

there are these little tiny bugs all over my hedgehogs and ferrets. I live in B.C Canada right beside the coast. I dont know what these dots are, they are smaller or about the same size as a period (.) and they can jump! my pets are in my room. I have tried getting rid of the pine shavings, right now we have puppy pads for there cages. I have given them all baths.. We havent done any flea treatment yet because we dont know what they are.

I have bites all over me, I counted about 97 little red dots all over my body and they itch like crazy. I washed my bed sheets, pillows, literally EVERYTHING. I really dont know what to do or how to get rid of them. Im being eaten alive!! I dont know if there ticks, mites or anything. There forsure not fleas because there much smaller.

Help! I have no idea how to tackle this mess.
No they are not fleas.. I have had fleas before and they are MUCH smaller then fleas. Ferrets cannot wear flea collers..

I have a 4 month old lab mix (Princess Isabella) i got from the kennel, and she likes to eat wood. Everytime I take her outside to excersise in the yard, in a split second shes picked up either mulch, twigs, wood chips, pine grass, pine cones, etc. I try to get to her to take it out her mouth but by the time I get to her she has already chewed and swallowed. I live in a part of GA where its hard to avoid all of these things since they make up our whole yard. I know shes not hungry since i feed her till shes full and i even hand feed her after she looks like shes full since i only feed her twice a day. I take her out after her meals so i know shes not hungry. Is this normal? Im scared I dont want her to get stomach splinters.

Apperance wise?

I’ve heard they pined after european, american features but i was just wondering since asian girls are usually very feminine, pretty, smart, and sweet girls that guys are all over for, do you ever envy black girl’s features?
I’m light, my color is like Beyonce & my eyes like tyra. I’m tall curvy etc etc
many asian girl friends of mine have asked, “did u do something with your hair? it looks dyed or streaked.”
But i’ve got natural auburn&blonde highlights in my chestnut, relaxed, longer than shoulder length hair
i always like guys that love asian girls like my friends, i.e. white/italian/blonde/blueyed boys so it feels like I’m always pining after asian females like Lucy Lui
