My family is camping on the Outer Banks of NC. We have been advised when making reservations that we need 12 inch stakes specially made for camping on the sand. Any and all ideas will be gratefully appreciated.
Me and my friends are trying to go camping on the beach in galveston this weekend but I don’t know where to go. I don’t know if its allowed or not allowed. I know we’ve spent the night on Crystal beach a couple of times in the car but are there any rules on camping on the beach. We were going to pitch tents and have a camp fire and everything……
Also does anyone know of any fun things to do when camping on the beach? Football Volleyball etc…..
My wife and I are camping on the beach at Galveston Island State Park this spring/summer. We currently have a Coleman dome tent, but it tends to really bend and flex in the wind. We’re looking for something a little more sturdy. We usually keep most of our gear and stuff outside the tent under a gazebo shelter, so storage, gear lofts, vestibules, etc. are not that big of an issue. We want to make this a longer stay than normal. A more sturdy tent that doesn’t cave in and use up all the interior space will make all the difference.
We’d like plenty of room if possible. My wife and I are both….uh….”full figured” so the person capacity needs to be a bit “negotiable.”.
I was thinking of tent camping at Hunting Island State Park in South Carolina this August. Is that a crazy idea considering the heat and bugs in August? Has anyone camped there?
Hello there, we live near Daytona Beach, FL. We are looking at a place to take are boat where we can camp on an island, state park on the water, or marina where we can shower. I was wondering if anyones know if its legal to cam on some of thoes islands near Ponce Inlet? Whats the law? I heard of a Start park a little south of hear, but not sure which one had islands and if our 26′ boat can make it there. Let me know. Our goal would be to take th boat out here and bring camping gear for an island or park.
I was wishing on taking a long trip towards the ga islands or South Carolina also. Any advice or sites?

My friends and I were thinking about camping out, using tents and typical camping gear. We thought about going out to Cape Cod in Ma for a weekend or something. Does anyone know of a beach that would be ok to and possibly decent for camping?
