Entry from: Missunde, Germany Entry Title: “Another last night at anchor” Entry: “Despite or perhaps because of the excesses of the night before, Julie and I were up and about quite early and were able to wash our last guest sleeping bag, so that they are all be clean and can be stored away until next year. It was a bright day again but with a chill breeze, good sleeping bag drying weather and once again, poor CW was being used as a washing line. We hadn’t done any sightseeing at all at Kappeln so after breakfast, we walked the very short distance into the small town which held no real surprises ie it was quiet, clean, orderly, pleasant, litter free and basically a nice place to shop, if that isn’t a contradiction in terms! Kappeln is home to a very large windmill, sited at the highest point so that the winds could be at their most effective and today it houses the tourist office. In truth, there isn’t that much about the town from a historical perspective but nevertheless, it is very pleasant. There is one feature, a herring trap, but more about that in a later episode! We met Janet in town and we did a little victualing together,then it was back to our respective boats and farewells as they headed east and we, a short time later, turned west, through the lifting bridge and sailed in a
