I put my daughter in a sleeping bag type thing called a pram. Only at night tho. During the day it’s warm enough for her to take naps in her regular clothes, but gets a little cooler at night. I’ll put her in a onsie, and a pram, and she sleeps all night. I wouldn’t recommend blankets in cribs until well after a year as they are a breathing hazard and can contribute to sids. Prams are safer. Good luck and congrats
Use light blankets. Heavy blankets and sleeping bags should not be used until the baby is around a year old due to the risk of suffocation.
….. you shouldnt ever put a baby in a sleeping bag…..
a sleep and play at that time of year would be enough. i have found that the sleeping sacks leave them sweaty and hot. if it is really hot then u will find that a onesie is enough.
light blankets should be fine
My daughter was a May baby, so when she slept I either used a onesie and a wearable blanket or tucked I her receiving blanket in on the sides of her mattress. The wearable blanket was great when she started kicking her light blanket off in the middle of the night.
my son has NEVER kept a blanket on him – so i always had to dress him in full length jumpsuits(bonds wondersuits) – i’ve used a sleeping bag once only… no need to if its hot… the wondersuits are great cause you can fold over the end of the arms to cover the hands so they keep warm and so bub cant stratch themself

i’m from australia though so i dont know if you can get those wondersuits in LA
Swaddle him in ultra thin blankies for naptime, but keep a pretty constant check on him for overheating. At night, use a sleep sack, they’re the safest to provent SIDS. You’ll figure out what makes him comfy and will be a pro in no time!
