i am going to a sleep away camp with 3 other girls and the car is not that big i already have 3 medium sized duffel bags full !

Is the modular sleep system worth the $$$?

I live in Iowa and camp in the winter summer spring and fall, i just use a cheap -40 sleeping bag for all year.

I am considering upgrading to the MSS because of its functionality and the way it is actually 3 bags in one

so what do you think? Are they woth the $250 or just stick it out with the $40 one that ive had for years?
its not a bad bag but i need something for those mountain trips and long stay backpacking extravaganzias

Bears attack camp documentary movie?

Hi all. I have watched some movie based on true story where bears attack camp. Open tents, grab humans in their sleeping bags, drag them out and eat them. The question is what is the movie name? I want to watch that movie but based on that description i cannot find that movie. The task is what is the movie name which covers these conditions – bears (black, brown or grizzly) attack camp in the forest, open tents, grab humans while they sleep in their sleeping bags and then bears eat the humans.

What are some fun things to bring to a camp?

I’m going to a sleep away camp for 6 days, and i need some fun things to bring. So far I have PSP, candies, magazine, laser pen, food & cards. I want to play a slight prank and you know, fun stuff. So what can i bring. Something small and something I can buy easily, it has to fit in my air bag, a small backbag.

What’s the best truck to use?

I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a good 4×4 pickup truck to use for camping. And by camping I mean going out in the woods, pitching a tent (on the ground, not attached to the truck), building a campfire, and sleeping in a sleeping bag tucked away in the tent.

Hi everyone, let me just start off by saying please don’t talk me out of this. I want to make my own informed decision. I’m not going to explain my reasons for doing such a thing, just my situation. I live in southern california. I have a car- a 1984 toyota land cruiser which is very offroad capable, can be slept in, gets decent gas mileage and is safe. It also has drawers in the back for storage and a winch and snorkel. I am 16 years old and have my drivers license. I’d like to go to Canada if possible, maybe alaska. While I’m doing this, I’d like to experience the wild. I have camping gear (tent, 0F sleeping bag, pots, pans, etc) and a job where I can earn some money to make this a bit easier. I’d like to be gone for a year, possibly more. I’d also like to start attending school in canada on my own. I am currently a junior in high school. I have friends that live in the surrounding area but nobody whose mom wouldn’t find out and alert my parents. I have a .177 Beeman pellet gun I can use to kill small game with (I’m a pretty good shot). I’m just wondering if anyone has any do’s and don’ts for me. Also, should I ditch my iphone or keep it with me?

Where can I go for a survival trip?

Me and my friends want to try going camping in the wild with limited supplies:
– 1 Flint
– 3 Cans of any preserved food
– Sleeping Bag
– Tarp Tent
– Survival Knife

But we don’t know where we can go do this legally. Maybe a National Park or by a hiking trail?

and we live in Chicago, so somewhere close would be best.

I am going for three days and they never gave me a list of what I need. It is in one week and I have no clue what I should take, IT is diabetes camp. I know that we are sleeping in cabins and I know that we are given a matress but we have to take sleeping bags/blankets. What should I take with me to make it as painless as possible?

ok. so im in 8th grade and im currently in a super expensive orchestra. my mom and i agreed that i have to raise at least $200-or so towards the tuition. but im also a great actress and there’s a play at my community center that was written by a friend of mine, and my agent is gonna be there with their producer friends to watch me perform and appraise me for other acting jobs. that is if i can. the play costs $400 dollars due upon registration for costumes, cast recording, media, etc. So i need to raise $600 dollars.

now, I have a couple things I would like to sell either on eBay or wherever. i’d like to get the highest price reasonably possible for these items.

1. Brand New Razor Electric Scooter
-Still in box, never once opened with original store tag/barcode still on it. It’s the model _____ and it goes for an average of ______ in stores. As I said, brand new and made this year.

2. Lg Rumor Green Slide Phone
-Lightly used by me for one month. As a few nicks and dents here and there but I figure it could be used either for recreation/games, it’s simcard, parts, or all of the above. Goes for around $90 without a phone plan.

3. North Face Yavapai Green Backpack
-Used for one year in middle school. No fabric ripped or anything but the plastic clasps for buckling the backpack around your waist is slightly dinged. Otherwise in mint condition. Great for hiking, very durable and is designed to fit to your back. Easily fits camping gear such as sleeping bag. Goes for $80 from manufacturer.

4. Jansport Roller Bag
-Specifically speaking it’s the “Wheeled Superbreak” rolling backpack. Inline skate wheels for optimized performance. Also has backpack straps if you want to wear it. Great as a carry-on suitcase too for the light packer. Limited edition color that is not made anymore- chocolate brown with assorted tan and blue dots and splotches. Goes for $75 but since the color was special edition….would it be more?

This violin is brand new, unused. In mint condition, brand new strings, comes with bridge and fine-tuners built in. Also comes complete with a set of extra strings, rosin, and two bows. Comes in a nice case with a big main pocket. It also comes with a beginning book “Essential Elements 2000″ for Violin. Full size 4/4.

How much would each item be worth individually? Is it $600 dollars alltogether? If not, what else can I do to make up the difference?

I don’t have enough $$ to get a proffessional appraisal, so please appraise to the best of your ability.
